C.A.M. Lindman (April 6, 1856 – June 21, 1928)
Carl Axel Magnus Lindman, Swedish botanist/plant painter. Author of the publication “Bilder ur Nordens Flora” (1901~1905). Served as a specimen management position at the Swedish Museum of Natural History (Regnellian Amanuensis), assistant at Bergianska Botanical Garden, and lecturer in natural history and physics at the Latin School. In 1892, he went to Brazil and Paraguay for expedition and investigation. After returning to Sweden, he resumed the post of lecturer and served as the teacher of the crown prince from 1896 to 1900. At the same time he wrote the book “Plants of Northern Europe”. In 1905, he became professor of botany at the Swedish Museum of Natural History. In 1913, he was elected as a member of Sweden Science Academic. The name Lindmania, which grows in Brazil and Venezuela, is derived from him.
