Description
The cheerful Egg Bag from Japanese brand minä perhonen embodies the brand’s philosophy of creating without waste — thoughtfully using every piece of fabric.
Its organic egg-shaped silhouette symbolizes life and continuity, reflecting a sense of care and renewal.
The textile, named cheerful, features a jacquard weave where floral motifs seem to bloom from a plaid grid.
Silk yarns are used for the warp, fine bouclé yarns form the checks, and cotton threads create the flowers, giving the fabric depth and gentle tactility. By exposing the loops of the bouclé yarn on the reverse side, the front surface remains smooth and soft to the touch.

Care
Pilling may occur with use due to friction; do not pull off pills, but carefully remove them with small scissors.
Although reinforced, avoid applying excessive force or carrying heavy items to prevent seam damage.
Founded in 1995 by Akira Minagawa, minä perhonen envisions “a brand that will last for a hundred years.”
The name, taken from Finnish words meaning “I” and “butterfly,” reflects individuality and the freedom of expression.
Rooted in original textile design, the brand values hand-drawn patterns, natural materials, and the joy of craftsmanship.
From clothing to furniture and lifestyle objects, minä perhonen continues to explore how design can enrich everyday life, carrying a poetic sense of continuity, care, and quiet happiness across generations.
