Description
Kamaron’an’s New Natural Dye Collection woven triangle bags.
In their Hualien studio, Kamaron’an proudly presents a brand-new Natural Dye Collection, using local tribal dyes like Shoulang yams and aged betel nuts to create unique and vibrant colors.Shoulang yams are skillfully used to dye fishnets, making them strong and nearly invisible in the sea, enhancing their durability for fishermen. Aged betel nuts, rich in cultural significance, are employed for dyeing fabrics, building traditional houses, and even crafting refreshing chewing gums.
Each piece in this collection is carefully hand-dyed, resulting in earthy tones that age gracefully over time, like nature itself.
Kamaron’an’s Natural Dye Collection not only offers beautiful textiles but also preserves the cultural traditions of the tribes, making it a unique and meaningful choice. Thank you for supporting this valuable heritage.

In 2021, Kamaro’an’s classic woven triangle bags have been upgraded with water-repellent coating, to protect the bag from wet stains. The canvas uses custom-weaved with extra yarns: thick and durable as a typical 16 ounce canvas yet lighter weight. Both large and small bags now have 2 pockets: one outer and one inner pocket on the large bag, and two inner pockets on the small bag.
Traditional one-thread woven handle with sculptural lines and good capacity. There are two snap buttons hidden under the handle, and the woven leather part can be detached to clean the canvas.
The triangular form is inspired by the eastern coast indigenous bag for carrying rice, that derived from the Japanese colonial period.
