Description
The cheerful coat from Japanese brand minä perhonen is crafted from the brand’s signature jacquard textile cheerful,
a pattern where delicate flowers seem to bloom from a plaid grid.
The fabric combines silk warp threads, fine bouclé yarn for the checks, and cotton yarn for the floral motifs, creating depth and gentle tactility.
By letting the loops of the bouclé yarn appear on the reverse side, the front remains smooth and soft.
With its simple straight silhouette, the coat feels like wrapping oneself in a woven artwork — serene, elegant, and quietly radiant.

Care
Pilling may occur due to friction; do not pull off pills, but trim them gently with scissors.
Avoid excessive rubbing or pressure to preserve the fabric’s refined texture.
Founded in 1995 by Akira Minagawa, minä perhonen envisions “a brand that will last for a hundred years.”
The name, taken from Finnish words meaning “I” and “butterfly,” reflects individuality and the freedom of expression.
Rooted in original textile design, the brand values hand-drawn patterns, natural materials, and the joy of craftsmanship.
From clothing to furniture and lifestyle objects, minä perhonen continues to explore how design can enrich everyday life, carrying a poetic sense of continuity, care, and quiet happiness across generations.
