Description
The LENA Jacket from designer brand Rubia & Neel combines premium materials with practical warmth, making it a perfect addition to your autumn and winter wardrobe. The outer layer is crafted from handloomed cotton combined with quilted wool, while the inner layer is filled with soft cotton batting to provide lightweight yet effective insulation. The surface is intricately detailed with floral quilting patterns, creating a textured and dimensional effect that adds sophistication to the design.
The jacket features an overlapping front secured with a tie at the center, allowing for adjustable looseness and a naturally relaxed silhouette. Subtle Eastern-inspired aesthetics, coupled with delicate floral quilting, make this jacket ideal for both casual and semi-formal occasions. The warm ivory tone seamlessly blends with a variety of outfits, ensuring versatility and style throughout the colder months.
*Quilting: A traditional sewing technique dating back to the 15th century, quilting uses patterned stitches to secure the outer fabric and cotton-filled layer. Quilted garments retain the warmth of traditional padded clothing while avoiding the bulkiness of filled materials. The quilted patterns create a semi-relief effect, enhancing texture, depth, and three-dimensionality.

Rubia & Neel is a brand born out of passion for sustainability, natural dyes, and high-quality fabrics. In this collection, the designer aims to create a slow, seasonless style — allowing users to layer up in cold seasons, thereby extending the lifespan of the clothing.
Founder Julie Cole has nearly two decades of experience in the field of Indian fashion design, shuttling back and forth between India for her work. Rubia and Neel’s products are manufactured in India. In the Indian language, “Rubia” means red, and “Neel” means indigo, representing the brand’s foundational colours.
In addition to colours derived from natural Indian dyes and traditional techniques like Jamdani weaving, the brand also emphasises the creation of products with the warmth of hand-craftsmanship, including hand weaving and hand stitching. The simple yet warm designs and comfortable textures provide wearers with a gentle and relaxed experience.
