Knitted beaded cardigan from the Taiwanese designer brand Sun Yu Hong. The front features delicate beadwork adorned with classic ribbon patterns. Clusters of white beads form petite, beautiful blossoms, emitting a sheen akin to mother-of-pearl. Against the navy blue backdrop, light blue diamond-shaped patterns knitted with coarse yarn embellish the front panels and cuffs, adding charming intricacy to the overall design.

The yarn used for the fabric is made from GRS-certified recycled eco-friendly yarn*, which minimizes environmental impact and conserves natural resources. The use of eco-friendly materials does not compromise the comfort and warmth of the fabric. The moderate thickness and round neck design make it easy to layer with turtlenecks in autumn and winter, while in spring and summer, it can be worn unbuttoned as a windproof knitted jacket. This is a practical piece exuding a gentle vintage charm.

Sun Yu Hong

Graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, and had internships at brands such as Dior, Chloé, John Galliano in Paris. After returning to Taiwan, Sun worked as a merchandise purchaser at ISSEY MIYAKE Taiwan’s general agent Taiwan Given Co., Ltd., and later as a colour researcher in Xuexue Institute.

Sun founded her personal brand in 2010, often combining lace, embroidery and clothing design to express women’s gentleness and elegant lines.

*GRS-certified yarn

GRS (Global Recycled Standard) is an international certification that ensures the yarn materials come from recycled waste, containing at least 20% recycled fibers and are completely pollutant-free. The entire production process must meet environmental protection, social responsibility, and chemical management requirements. GRS-certified yarn not only reduces the consumption of natural resources and greenhouse gas emissions but also promotes sustainable development in the recycling industry. Its quality and performance are comparable to, or even better than, traditional yarns. GRS-certified yarn can also be blended with other types of yarn to create diverse effects and characteristics to meet various design needs.
