Description
Hand embroidered in Japan using rare vintage materials. The Kyoto based jewellery brand Tamas was founded by Asuka Shitamori in 2009, and continue to create limited quantity embroidered jewelleries ever since.
The “Good Evening Brooch” is made out of a motif imitating the clouds over the moon.
A pom-pom shaped cloud covers the moon. This brooch is designed to look like the moonlight shining through the gaps, creating a curtain-like effect. A perfectly round moon appeared in the eastern sky at dusk. The base part is made up of bicolour square beads. Sewn with a thread in a different colour, white round beads are then lined up over it. Edged with silver sequins with a sophisticated finishing. An easy-to-use accessories for both formal and daily occasions.
“In the early evening, a perfectly round moon appears in the eastern sky. My daughter always greets to the moon,“Good evening, moon.” like she said.” – Asuka Shitamori.

Purveyor of handmade embroidered jewellery, hails from Kyoto and was founded by designer A. Shitamori in 2009. The brand is known for embroidering rare vintage materials from France onto light leather.
There are various “shapes” in the world. In the dizzyingly changing days, I think that important things are packed in the “forms” that pass by and are overlooked. An accessory brand that was born in April 2009 with the concept of “collecting little by little, like picking up sounds that quietly echo from ‘shapes’.”
The materials used are mainly rare French vintage sequins and beads. Each piece is produced by hand in our atelier, as if weaving the time engraved in the material itself. I hope that the material, the production method, the accessories that are born from it, the person who holds it, and the air that surrounds that person are connected in a single line.
