Sandales with detachable ribbons, comes with 2 sets of ribbons: one set of reversible ribbons with dark navy on one side, and sand colour on the other side, decorated with reused Calais lace. Another set of navy ribbons decorated with twisted reused Calais lace and beads.

Known for combining lace, embroidery and garment design to express women’s gentlest silhouette of elegance, Sun Yu Hong creates 2 sets of ribbons using french Leavers lace, one reversible and the other twisted with beading. While Nupié contributes the soles of the sandals, manufactured in Italy, using Tuscan’s finest leather. The design of the sandals allows it to be worn in various styles, making them the best  travel companions in summer.

“In the process of making garments, a huge portion of lace is left unused. This French Leavers lace is being endowed a second life in this collaboration with Une Fille aux Cheveux Noirs & Nupié sandales. The laces are demolished and rearranged, and beadings are added as a final touch to create a solid effect. We hope these lace strips will add an essence of fun to everyone’s outfit coordinations.” – Sun Yu Hong

Sun Yu Hong

Graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in London, and had internships at brands such as Dior, Chloé, John Galliano in Paris. After returning to Taiwan, Sun worked as a merchandise purchaser at ISSEY MIYAKE Taiwan’s general agent Taiwan Given Co., Ltd., and later as a colour researcher in Xuexue Institute.

Sun founded her personal brand in 2010, often combining lace, embroidery and clothing design to express women’s gentleness and elegant lines.
